MindArk clears its name
Posted on Wednesday, 30 March 2005 by Rav^, source: Worthplaying
Swedish developer MindArk, known for their futuristic MMORPG Project Entropia, has been able to close an impeding lawsuit that has haunted them for three years.
In May 2002, members of the BSA, including Microsoft, Adobe Systems, Macromedia and Autodesk, sued the company for copyright infringement and violating software licensing rules.
MindArk has now succeeded in clearing its name, but according to Director of Community Relations Marco Behrmann, the company plans to counter-sue the BSA to recover the monetary loss. This is good news for gamers, as they plan to invest that money to expand the world of Project Entropia for all the loyal players.
