Mirror's Edge first part in trilogy
The Tokyo Game Show, an ideal opportunity to find out something more about all the upcoming games. Which is exactly what our colleagues at AusGamers did. In a video interview with Owen O'Brien, senior producer at Dice, we find out a few interesting things about Mirror's Edge, EA's upcoming free-running game.
One of those things, and maybe the most interesting, is that the game is the first part in a trilogy. In the first parts of that trilogy the story of Faith and her experiences in the gameworld will be told. O'Brien hinted that the game wasn't necessarily going to end after part 3, for example the story of another character could be told. In his opinion the gameworld is so diverse and expansive that rather than an individual story, it will be the environment that interests the player.
O'Brien also mentioned Dice is toying with the idea of adding a level editor to Mirror's Edge's sequel. Keypoint there being Dice wants to make the level editor as intuitive to use as the game itself.
