Modern Warfare 2 continues without Call of Duty
Only just yesterday Activision - Blizzard released a trailer for Modern Warfare 2 and it has now become clear this is the birth of a new (spin-off) series.
Over at the GDC, Gamespot had a chat with Infinity Ward about their upcoming sequel and they kinda confirmed this.
On a side note it was also told that Infinity Ward's previous game, CoD4 (or Mondern Warfare 1 if you like) sold over 12 million times.

"All I can tell you (officially) at this point is that Modern Warfare has taken on such a life of its own, it has become our focus now,"
