Modern Warfare 3 out in the open already

Piracy and theft remain an issue, especially for top titles.
Venturebeat is reporting that an employee of a shipping warehouse stole a disc from Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and of course this has started the spread of pirated copies of the game.
Investigators are on the matter and knocking on doors of people around the US who've obtained such pirated copies, fining them no less than $5.000 and making sure they get permanently banned from playing the game.
A post on Craigslist from a pirate who got caught states people should absolutely not buy MW3 before the release date as “they will come get you”.
