More Manhunt twisting

Over at The Herald is word that a group of UK members of parliament are looking to get violent games banned so that children will have no possibility to play them
Tam Dalyell, Labour MP for Linlithgow, said yesterday he would seek to restrict the access of children to the worst of the games in which players carry out violent killings to reach their objective.
...
Mr Dalyell admitted yesterday that devising the right mechanism for restricting access would not be easy.
He said: "I am against censorship but some things go to far, and there does seem to be some anecdotal evidence from the courts that they have had terrible effects. Unfortunately the evidence has not been tested in the courts.
Again it's clear these people have no idea what they are talking about. There is even less evidence to support the fact that games cause violent behaviour as there is to support movies causing kids to start bashing each others head...

More news concerning the matter: MCVUK has word that the copy of Manhunt was not found in the killer's bedroom but that of the victim and even the cops don't see any link between the game and the murder :
Narinder Pooni, media services officer for Leicestershire Police, told MCV: “Apparently the game was found but it was in Stefan Pakeerah’s bedroom.”
...
As for the link between Manhunt and the crime, the police are clear. Pooni said: “We haven’t connected the game with the murder and we’ve already made that statement, but some sections of the media chose to ignore it…the motive was robbery.”
So, print media being objective as always... NOT !
