The rumours about Sony Entertainment's upcoming Premium PSN keep coming. According to Joystiq's sources the service will be named PSN+ and have its unveiling at E3.

PSN+ will reward members with bonuses while multiplayer won't get limited to only paying customers. According to the source members can expect PSP Minis, PSOne Classics, Exclusive DLC, PS Store discounts, an auto-patch function and a one hour demo time for full retail titles. Through the latter function you can download entire games and play them for free for one hour after which you can decide to buy them or not.

PSN+ subscribers will also get access to the Playstation Protection Plan, a cloud-based save option and cross-game voice chat that previously was denied to being in development. The sources also talk about a higher pricetag than previous rumours: $9.99 a month instead of "less than $50 a year".

Of course all of this is still rumours and speculation but luckily E3 is getting closer so we should get some real and confirmed info on the payable service soon. In any case, if the above is true, it sure sounds good!

They would push thousands of PS gamers to xbox in one move with that price tag. I doubt that even Sony would be that stupid...

they push nothing, it´s an optional service... Everything you can do now (vidzone, home, online multiplayer, psn store,...) is still free. So I don´t think they are pushing that much people to MS.

But yes indeed that price is way to high.
