More confirmation of new Blizzard MMO

Posted on Thursday, 13 December 2007 by Yanni, source: Gamesindustry
A Blizzard community representative has posted a message on their forum that the jobs advertised by the company have nothing to do with the immens populare World of Warcraft, but everything with another, brand new MMO project.

They're looking for a 3D character artist and a 3D environment artist for a "Next Gen MMO". Some people were speculating that it had everything to do with the World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, but the representative denied that:

"No, it is an unannounced Next-Gen MMO. And that doesn't mean an expansion for World of Warcraft either."

Further details have not been given by Blizzard. Wrath of the Lich King is due in 2008, if all goes well.

Thats what I was thinking, unless its something new. I find it very unlikely that they would put out a Starcraft MMO.

Blizzard doesn't actually have any single player games and if by recycling you mean expanding on the story line of one of their already popular games then thats probably what they intend to do.

well if they would build an mmo around Starcraft i think it would be better to go as an mmofps, i just can't see something like that be a normal mmorpg or the aiming/combat should be a bit like Tabula Rasa.

Even in mmofps they still tend to lock onto there target making it essenstially the same as a regular mmo, you target an enemy and use skills to kill them.
