More downloadable games for PSP
The entire game industry expected Sony's PSP to dominate the Nintendo DS in terms of sales figures, but the touchscreen-handheld sold more than 100 million units worldwide while the PSP seems to be losing ground every day.
Sony's handheld has an advantage called Downloadable Content. Sadly, the PlayStation Store has far to little updates to be a real competitor on the digital distribution market. Just like Nintendo, Sony is threatened by the iPhone which has taken a large bite out of the competing handhelds market share thanks to Apple's top of the bill games on demand service.
John Koller, Sony's head of PlayStation Marketing, wants to change a thing or two by providing more content for the PSP Store. Apart from standard DLC, there will also be a bunch of full games available for you to download. By doing so, Sony wants to give users the opportunity to just download games like LittleBigPlanet and Motorstorm: Arctic Edge to their memory stick and be able to play them instantly instead of having to run to the store to get them on a UMD.
