More losses for Atari
Atari is making losses... again. Despite heavy restructuring and the sales of multiple in-house studios over the past year (like Shiny and Reflections) it doesn't seem to get better for this French game publisher.
A financial report reveals that Atari made a net loss of $11.9 million in the first quarter. That's $7.3 million more loss than in the same period last year. It's believed that Atari won't be facing a delisting from the Nasdaq stock exchange now but the future doesn't look bright for the rest.
Atari is also risking to lose the popular Dragon Ball Z franchise in a legal dispute with anime distributor FUNimation. About the only real cash cows licenses they still have are Dungeons & Dragons and Alone in the Dark.
