More tech rumours regarding next Xbox
While some sources claim the Wii U will have twice the power of an X360, it's nothing compared to what Microsoft's next will apparently be displaying.
Several "sources" today brought forward a number of rumours that - if true - show the Xbox720 (or whatever it will be called) to be a true powerhouse. A summary:
Next Xbox will have Blu-ray integrated Microsoft will incorporate some sort of anti-used game system but it's currently unclear how that would work The next console will ship with a second generation Kinect motion control system with an on-board processor as was originally the plan for the current Kinect There will be smaller controllers for the Xbox720, but not clear whether they'll be part of the box or launched as a seperate product Microsoft's Xbox360 successor will be six to eight times more powerful than the current generation. The power of the system - although hypothetical - looks quite stunning, but I'm pretty sure nobody's looking forward to a system that prevents playing second hand games except maybe game publishers. And if that would work in a way whereby copies would be linked to specific hardware or so, I can already see tons of frustrated gamers if the hardware breaks down and suddenly all their games can be thrown away.
