More than 500 000 Warhammer Online players

Last week Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning was released, and the first signs were promising at the time. EA and Mythic confirm this now, they announced that since the release more than half a million players registered.

EA thinks it's an excellent result and calls it the fastest selling new (probably meaning 'after World of Warcraft') MMO. If they want to do better than rival Age of Conan (which had 700.000 registerd users after a month), they will have to attract 200.000 players extra.

"In just one week we have a half a million people playing WAR online, and the ranks of Order and Destruction are growing at a record-breaking pace for a new MMORPG,"

Whether Warhammer Online will continue to have success, remains to be seen when the free 30 days are over.

I'm glad you made a point to mention that the first month isn't what makes the game successful, its the following months when it comes time to renew that subscription that you really see how much players like the game.

At its peak, WoW had 10 million+ subscribers, how many copies of the game have been sold is a number much higher then that.

This was the first week..

i played world of warcraft seens the realece.
my friends told me to try this game. i tryed it and its a
exelent game i most say that its twise World of warcraft :D
I love the choises u can make. there are a lot more then just one
quest choise. like PQ ( public quests ) quest to kill other players.
take and hold enemy keeps ( its like hold a lockation on Battlefield 2 ) The grafic are wonderfull to :). war has 24 diffrent classes. each one of them are a lot diffrent from the other that make the battle wonderfull..

well just a tip from me to all other World of Warcraft players:

World Of Warcraft is a Wonderfull game. but before u buy the new expantion i suggest that u try Warhammer online it cost around 42.16$. its worth it i promice u guys and girls it really are!
