Mortal Kombat won't have Wi-Fi

Mortal Kombat Armageddon, wich is developed for Wii only, won't have an online multiplayer mode.

The reason given by the developer is that Nintendo's Wi-Fi service was not yet ready to be implemented at the moment it should have been coded into the game. Instead of waiting for the service to be finished (like any normal person would do) they decided to give it up and expand the offline mode a bit more.

"[...] That is a big reason [why] we focused on giving the single player experience even more attention to perfect the new Controls system, the addition of Endurance mode and an additional Kharacter."

The question however is this one. Did Nintendo say the technology wasn't ready because they wanted the premiere for their own game Mario Strikers: Charged, or was it really not ready at that time and did they implement it quickly into Mario?

Nintendo probably didn't have the SDKs (or whatever they call them) ready, however that doesn't stop their in-house team from using the technology.
