Multi platform not good for PES '08

At Konami, they are not very satisfied with the latest edition of their popular football series Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. The game was released a while ago in Europe for the X360, PS3 and PS2, but the developer wished they could have postponed the release.

"PES 2008 is so far from what we wanted [and] we thought about delaying it but different factors meant we had to release it,"

According to the main developer Shingo Takatsuka, working simultaneously on different versions wasn't a good idea. Especially the PS3 version would have some troubles with the frame rate.

"As a developer, we've worked the same way since the days of the SNES. We're simply not set up for multi-platform development,"

Although the sales of PES '08 are doing well, the game did get some criticism here and there.
