N+ dev announces Scrap Metal for XBLA, top-down racing reborn

Those of you old enough to remeber Ignition and all it's awesomeness in multiplayer will be happy because Slick Entertainment, known from the very addictive puzzle/survival game N+, just announced that they will be giving the top-down racing genre a well needed boost with Scrap Metal.

The game, due somewhere in 2010 for XBLA, promises to bring us modern HD graphics, physics, addiction and old-scholl drifting. If they make it anywhere as good as N+, I'm buying it on day one.
