NBA Jam makes comeback on Wii

Electronic Arts has stated they'll be releasing a new NBA Jam game for the Wii. EA Sports decided to pick up the thread of the clasic and we can soon expect an official announcement.

In the 16-bit era the game was very popular and was played on the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. It may not be all too serious, but it did manage to make you laugh by allowing you to play with f.i. Bill Clinton. It was also known for its exciting 2on2 games.

Some time later on derived games arrived on the Xbox and PS3, under the names NBA Ballers and NBA Showtime. The new NBA Jam will temporarily be a Wii exclusive, but according to the source it should also find its way to Xbox LIVE and the Playstation Network.

Gamers looking forward to a game that goes completely back to basics should certainly keep an eye out for this one!
