NPD numbers for December: Black Ops and X360 for the win
The NPD Sales numbers for December in the US are in and the winners seem to be Nintendo, Microsoft and Activision.
Although no actual hardware sales figures are revealed anymore, the different platform holders aren't shying away from sending them out themselves. As such, we know that the Wii came out on top in the US, followed by the X360 and the PS3. Year on year, the X360 is doing pretty well with an increase of 42%, while both other consoles saw quite a decrease in sales.
Wii 2.36m (38% decrease YoY 360 1.9m (42% increase YoY) PS3 1.21m (down 11% YoY) In the software charts, we see Call of Duty: Black Ops take the lead in December, followed by Just Dance 2 and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
Guess the economic crisis isn't over yet.
