NXE: HDMI sound disappearing, community to the rescue

Xbox 360 Fanboy is bringing reports of some users having sound issues when using HDMI combined with Microsoft's New Xbox Experience. According to the site Microsoft told them they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

Meanwhile my favourite audio&video community, AV Forums, found a temporary workaround, but it is quite some (repetitive) work.

Turn of Xbox 360.

Remove hard drive.

Boot Xbox 360.

Wait for NXE to load.

Place back hard drive

Tadaaa! HDMI sound.

This seems quite doable but mind you that this is only valid as long as your console remains powered on. That's right folks, once you turn it off, you need to repeat the actions again.
