Namco reveals the rts Warhammer: Mark of Chaos
Namco has given more details about the Warhammer real-time strategy game they acquired the rights to some time ago. Warhammer: Mark of Chaos will be an rts, slated for Winter 2006, which will focus solely on battles, not on resource management. Think Dark Omen but then with a Total War look. The project is in development at Black Hole Games, the company behind last year's disappointing WarCraft III clone Armies of Exigo.
A product page of the game has gone live, it features some very nice screenshots and a neat pre-rendered trailer. Gamespot has an extensive Q&A with Namco senior producer Chris Wren which reveals a bit more info. There will be four playable races (Empire, High Elves, Skaven and Chaos), which are being complemented by mercenaries from the remaining 13 Warhammer armies.
