Need for Speed: Shift website online

Electronic Arts has put a website for Need for Speed: Shift online. A trailer and some more information about the game can be found there.

Need for Speed: Shift is developed by Slightly Mad Studios known from GT Legends and GTR2, assisted by Black Box producer Michael Mann and EA Games Europe's Patrick Soderlund. Need for Speed: Shift focuses more on simulation racing instead of arcade racing.

Love how the Need for Speed games are never the same game yet the same people will go buy them simply because its NFS, if anyone ever says their a fan of NFS games slap em, A) because their a NFS fan and B) because their not sequels of the same game, EA just make a different racer every year and stamp NFS on it just like every Ubisoft game is a Tom Clancy game, if EA released a new football game in the vain of Mario Soccer would they call if FIFA.....actualy they probably would and muppets would still but it but you know what i mean.

Anyway this does actualy look quite good for a change atleast graphicaly as NFS's have always played arse, good to see EA finaly manned up and put in a cockpit view but we already have PGR4 FORZA 2 and GRID with a PGR5 and FORZA 3 on the cards with the first 3 being awesome racers and their sequels undoubtably will blow this NFS shit (thats not a typo) away, but then you never know, its being made by a european team instead of the usual corporate sell out EA America and everything must be cool and hip approach, lets hope they cut out the crap video sequences with the terrible actors.

EA did bring us Mirrors Edge and Dead Space so maybe times could be a changing................very doubtful where Need for Speed is concerened though :)
