New Carmageddon is "indie"
The new, yet unannounced, Carmageddon game is according to the latest messages not a Square Enix game but one from an independent developer.
Square Enix, who have registered the website that's counting down to the unveiling, apparently has little to do with it. Also interesting fact is that Stainless, developer of the original, is currently concentrating on downloadable titles of existing IP.

While the new game's developer is not confirmed, original studio Stainless is now concerned with producing downloadable titles based on existing IP, such as Magic: The Gathering and Risk.
The rights to the series areno longer with Square, owners of Eidos. We'll know more as of June 1st when the game gets its official unveiling.In other news:
