New Gran Turismo not before 2009

UK Video Game retail shop GAME sent a message to Videogamer, confirming that people shouldn't expect Gran Turismo 5 before 2009.
Here's what the email had to say:
It seems it will take quite some time before people will finally be able to check out the real deal despite Sony still giving a tentative 2008 release for GT5 in the US and Japan.
Until then, one can check out Gran Turismo 5: Prologue which is expected to be released on March 28th and will have five tracks and 40 cars, plus 16-player online racing.
Here's what the email had to say:
"The legendary "Real Driving Simulator" Gran Turismo 5 is heading to PlayStation 3 in 2009, utilising the uber-console's raw horsepower to generate an unrivalled level of realism,"
