New House of the Dead for Wii
Today, Sega announced a new episode of the classic light-gun pulp horror series House of the Dead. Thanks to developer Headstrong Games, we'll be shooting heads off with the wii-mote in The House of the Dead: Overkill.
The gameplay will stay the same, but the visuals and style will get an update that reminds us of Romero's or Quentin Tarantino's over-the-top retro movies like Grind House. The motion control will now also make it possible to crush zombies' brains with your gun.
“We wanted to do something really different with The House of the Dead: OVERKILL,” commented Bradley Crooks, Studio Head at Headstrong Games. “With SEGA we’ve been able to create a fresh look for the franchise. I think you’ll agree it’s like nothing you’ve seen before on Wii.”
