New Mortal Kombat goes DC Comics, leaves out blood
Posted on Friday, 18 April 2008 by Speed, source: MortalKombatOnline
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is apparently the final name of Mortal Kombat 8 and it will feature characters from - surprise, surprise - the DC Comics universe.
Little else is know for the moment, but on the right side of this post you can see what's supposed to be a first promotional picture for the game featuring Sub-Zero and Batman. The game supposedly will be using the Unreal engine.
Update: Kotaku has been contacted by a former Midway employee who states he worked on the game and that it has little to no blood present. And to make things even worse, there apparently aren't even fatalities present!
In short: DC Comics don't like the idea of someone ripping Batman's head off and there's little "Mortal" left in Mortal Kombat.
I SO hope this latest news is just a rumour and not a fact...
