New PC patch for Hot Pursuit on the way
Posted on Sunday, 5 December 2010 by Speed, source: Official Site
Although a first patch for Criterion Games' Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was only released last week, a new one is in the works already.
The official site has been updated with word that the new PC patch will fix the following:
Groundcover Graphical Errors: When alt-tabbing, the groundcover would start to corrupt, causing random tree images to appear all over the screen. Controller Configurations: On some machines controller configurations that have been set up for wheels, pads, etc are not saving correctly to a configuration file. This is now fixed. Rare crash when entering the Career map screen: The game sometimes crashes when entering the Career map screen quickly after booting the game. Rare crash when streaming graphical data Steering response reported as having large dead zone Player car engine volume too low A bug that hits AMD/ATI Radeon users if they have overridden the AA settings in the control centre and happens when you pick an event in the map screen prior to the car select will be fixed with the next update of drivers from AMD.
No word yet on when this new patch will arrive, but the new AMD drivers are set for release around the second week of December.
