New Street Fighter movie coming up

In 1995 we already had the "pleasure" to "enjoy" a movie based upon the classic Street Fighter series and with Jean-Claude Van Damme the movie immediately managed to get a place in the infamous long line of crap game-goes-movie titles that also includes Super Mario, Double Dragon and Alone in the Dark (just to name a few)

Capcom, however, doesn't think one crappy movie is enough and has signed up debutant Justin Marks as director/victim while Ming Na Wen will play the role of Chun-Li.

Our prediction: it will be utter crap! ;)

How do you know it will be crap? I think it might be good.

The pessimist organization rang....they want their CEO back.

If they have the sense to realise that most if not all Street Fighter fans are way over 18 and therefore make the film with brutal fight scenes and well choregraphed.

If they are going to use fireballs and the special moves of the characters then they need to fully commit to them and not using a lame uppercut as a dragon punch, if guile is going to do his flash kick then it should be a massive over the top backfilp kick that knocks the shit out of his opponent.

All game to film films have the potentail to be great but for some reason they allways go to twat directors like Paul Anderson or Uwe Bowl and its allways like the people making the film have never played the game.

Doom for example was probably one of the better game to film films but why they felt the need to ignore the fact that doom is about a gateway to hell being opened and all manner of hellish demons come rushing out to wreak havoc and horror, instead the film makers decided it would be better if the creatures were genetic mutations which is just gay, i had high hopes for it as it was an R/18 certificate but the dicks that get given the job to bring these games to the big screen just seem to mess with the story and material way to much.

They should strictly be told that they stick to the story made by the game creators and just get the actors and point the camera and shout cut and then get paid and fuck off but no they all want to use these films to make there mark and get noticed.........they get noticed allright but for all the wrong reasons.

Fingers crossed though eh!
