New Supreme Commander screens, beta still underway
Gas Powered Games and THQ are preparing themselves for the launch of their sci-fi real-time strategy game Supreme Commander.
Not only have they released some gorgeous new screenshots, but since a week or so, a closed beta is going on to iron out most imbalances/bugs before the game will ship (in the first quarter of 2007). The only way to get in is to be a member of the lucky few that won one of the many beta-competitions, organised by fansites and other gamessites some time ago.
Another way to gain access is through a Fileplanet-subscription but since we have a feeling that registered users will get a shot at the beta some time from now, it would be silly to fall into that marketing-trap. Some obscure fanatics have even cracked this whole beta-gig. In any case, there will still be a demo around the release too if you want the see the game in a more finished form.
