New Tomb Raider reboot details leaked, taken offline
Posted on Monday, 13 July 2009 by daffeh, source: 4 player co-op
Over the weekend some new details on the next Tomb Raider game were leaked together with some art and screenshots. Even tough the screens have been taken offline under legal threat from Crystal Dynamics, the details for the reboot of the reboot remain uncovered.
Apparently, this latest sequel would have Lara shipwrecked on some island with mysterious underground tombs to explore. There is horseback riding and arrow shooting which is always a plus in my eyes.
The main twist is that instead of the usual continent hopping and level completing combined with exploring and treasure hunting the gameplay would lean more towards open world horror survival.
I hope they don't mess up the franchise again because the last game was quite amusing. Both Left4Dead and Tomb Raider are strong games based on a decent concept, but mixing them together seems like it might not be such a great idea...
