New WoW Races & Continent

Posted on Wednesday, 30 March 2005 by peng, source: Gametab
The upcoming expansion for World of Warcraft may be Blizzard's main attraction at E3 this year. The expansion called World of Warcraft: Northrend will probably be featuring new player races and a new continent to explore. Although none of this is confirmed the expansion would be geared toward the higher level players, with bigger dungeons and a slew of new high-end quests and power items.

Well I want to know is it goin to be an expansion that we pay for or is it going to be a patch? If it is an expansion it better be really cheap. We pay monthly for the game and pay more than most P2P games. I feel like i get what i pay for but if it becomes like EverQuest that has a new expansion everymonth than I might find a new game.

I agree, we are already paying a monthly fee any add-ons or expansions should be included with the patch.

I mean, everyone knows that Blood Elves will be playable; I'm tired of hearing about that. What is the new alliance race, anyone? Also, I think it's a bad idea by blizzard to add only two new races, because everyone on the f****** earth will make a new character with them. Beyond that, I'm glad that Blizzard is holding up to its' promise of new content creation, much more so than EQ2.

The on real reason i see to the creation of 2 new races is that people want tanned night elves on horde that are more magic directed then NE themselves. And the comment about tauren on Alliance isn't absurd because the blood elves are an example of that; we already have a night elf race, why bother simply changing the modle's skin and racial abilities when you could open up an entire new race. The problem with WoW is that it is restricted from creativity, simply because of Wc3, it has to follow the story line and the creatures in Wc3. The blood elves were mainly in Wc3 frozen throne and there part in WoW fits perfectly into the storyline (they leave the human side for magic and side with horde) games that suck like guild wars are accualy better off in my opinion. I looked at the cover for Guild wars and saw a truly awesome giant serpent thing lol WoW could never have sumthing so cool in it because there never were any giant serpent things in Wc3 while guild wars can expand on anything it wants. Basicaly the only thing WoW can expand on is the instances because they take place in the "forgeten" and "hidden" places of the past Wc3 world. Like the molten core that takes place underground away from everything else! This means in the long run we know what to expect from Blizz and all its Wc3/WoW creations.

PS i have wondered this for a long time...WHERE DID NORTHREND GO?????????
