New game of THQ and Kaos Studios
Kaos Studios, the developer responsable for the Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942, is working together with THQ on Frontlines: Fuel of War.
With over 60 vehicles, an open world and infantery and vehicle based gameplay the creators clearly want to head the same way as Battlefield. They do underline they will give the singleplayer part more attention than their example normally does. Naturally the multiplayer aspect will be very important too, which will take care of intense combat with ultra-modern weapons.
The game will be released in autumn 2007 on PC, Xbox360 and PS3 and will be seen at E3.
The Western Coalition, comprised of the United States and Europe, and the Red Star Alliance of Russia and China are competing over global oil interests, and tensions have reached a breaking point. Control of the fossil fuel supply will determine the future of civilization, and it's up to players to decide the world's fate.
