New screens and releasedate of Crysis

Posted on Sunday, 22 October 2006 by Anneleen, source: Fragland
Thanks to a flyer in the case of Battlefield 2142, we now know that Crysis for Pc will be available in February 2007.

Meanwhile we do have some extra screens in which a comparision is made between in-game images and real life:

Are you sure that release date is official?
Reason I ask is that InCrysis.com has an article about some questions they've handed EA/Crytek where one of the questions answered is concerning a release date and all EA/Crytek will say is "this winter"...the article is dated "October 2006" and you can see it here : incrysis.com/crysis/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=177

Any Specs for this game? min/max?
If it's like the 1st farcry then even the highest spec pc today will not be good enough!
I remember running farcry when it 1st came out and i had set everything to MED and was getting 5fps on my so called high-spec system (everyother game i had i was playing on MAX with no problems at all).
Will look forward to playing this game to in it's full glory in about 2 years when the graphics/cpu's have got faster.

ok, just found out it'd DX10 only so VISTA and a new graphics card are needed.
VISTA will be bug city for the 1st 6 monts or so and as for a new graphics card, no way, just got a new SLI setup so it's not getting a DX10 card just to play a few games (crysis, halo2).
It may look nice but in the end it comes down to gameplay.

DX9 is still supported, hell, even the E3 presentation was purely running on DX9.

DX9 will be supported but graphics quality, performance and interactivity will suffer from it from what I've "heard"...I guess how much remains to be seen...

I took 10 minutes of private time when i was at the EA booth at E3 last year. Just stared at the screens and drooled on the floor. I want it :p

Depends on what part of the world you live in, now don't it? And as I am sure you can read, I said "Winter 2006".

I already stated the obvious twice just for these dimwitts, duckfucker, and first of all it was to correct the erroneous February date in the actual post.
