Nintendo has big announcement in stores for us?

What will the big announcement be?

The Official Nintendo Magazine last month claimed that Nintendo would have a "big announcement" in their next issue and it seems it's coming closer.

IGN is reporting that the Big N has sent out invites for a Q1 Media Summit event February 24th in San Francisco and they expect to hear more about that announcement there.

Now, Nintendo of America has officially invited select members of the press to its Q1 Media Summit event, set to kick off February 24 in San Francisco. "Please join us for a full day of presentations, demos and hands-on gameplay," the invite reads.

Seeing as European journalists (including ourselves) have received an invitation for a similar event on February 25th in London's O2 Arena, they may very well be correct about that.

So what will it be? More Mario or Metroid? Or will it be the unveiling of the rumoured new hardware? We'll find out soon enough and we'll be here to let you know (and some of us will be in London having fun)
