Nintendo is threatened by Move & Natal
Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has told Edge that the company feels threatened by Sony's Move and Microsoft's Natal.
Nintendo has all the right to feel threatened but it's quite funny to see them feel "threatened" now with both motion controllers coming later this year while earlier on they said they were "flattered" for being "copied".
“Whenever something we have created and presented is followed by copies, we always feel it is threatening,”
“More than that, we’re concerned that others are trying to do something similar for the sake of it. It’s not encouraging to Nintendo.”
I doubt Sony and Microsoft are doing motion control "for the sake of it". They've seen the success of the Wii and are trying to pick up on that by making something similar but (possibly) better. “More than that, we’re concerned that others are trying to do something similar for the sake of it. It’s not encouraging to Nintendo.”

Sony and Microsfot ARE copying, trying to copy the success Nintendo has had. Before this generation they never even thought of motion tracking in such a way Wii has presented it. In fact they scoffed at the idea of this being anything great. The phrases just a Fad, only a niche and flavor of the month comes to mind. Bravo for Nintendo for making Sony and Microsoft feel threatened enough that they too had to jump on board the motion controlled bandwagon, insecure about their market share. lol. Nintendo - once again, has set the standard for game play.

I have to agree with anon above; Nintendo seems, to my eyes, to be treated as a joke for people who don't actually play games. I don't think anyone feels threatened by it.
