Nintendo still working for Hardcore gamers

Hardcore games coming but not quickly

Nintendo has reassured that hardcore gamers won't be let down by the company and that several games are currently under development.

The statement comes in the October issue of Edge Magazine who got the quote from a Nintendo representative.

"We have never neglected our core gamers. We still have developers working on popular core gaming franchises but we need longer to complete these games, approximately two to three years,"

New games based on existing intellectual property are currently worked on by all Nintendo studios, but we don't have to expect any of them soon so it seems.

"These games are not ready to launch in early 2009 but are being worked on by all development teams."

So until then I guess we'll be mostly stuck with casual games from Nintendo... not that it hasn't given them any success.
