Nintendo to launch Wii on Dec. 2 in Japan
Nintendo Japan has announced pricing and shipping details about its latest console. The Wii will be launched on December 2 for 25,000 yen ($212/€170) which places it after the launch of the PS3.
According to the Japanese press release, the box will contain the following:
Unfortunately Wii Sports will not be included in the basic package, as some had speculated. The game will be sold separately however for 4,800 yen ($40/€32).
Furthermore, pricing has been announced for the retro games that will be available through the system's virtual console:
Let's hope more details about the American and European release are made public later today. And if it's not asked too much, an earlier release in Europe to make up for the PS3 delay :)
