No 3D in LittleBigPlanet 2 after all
Sony Entertainment to not include 3D support for LittleBigPlanet 2 after all.
Mark Valledor said the following on the US Playstation Blog: "Sorry, no 3D this time around."
Reason why Sony and Media Molecule have cancelled their previously announced support for 3D isn't quite clear. We do know that LBP2 was first scheduled for release this Fall, but then got delayed to January. Probably the devs want to use as much time as possible to refine the online multiplayer and extinquish bugs.
The blog made it clear that the online servers are as good as ready and that the final beta test will start next week for selected participants.
A Story demo will arrive on December 22nd, and before that we got a Move-specific download in the form of "Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves" which contains 10 levels with a dino theme.
But beware, the idea is that one person with a Move controller turns on and off buttons while someone else with a normal controller actually plays the game. Just like in the final version Move will only be supported in a limited part of the game.
