No Battlefield 2 demo exclusive

As it was pretty likely to happen, GameSpot announced that they will host the première of the Battlefield 2 demo on their downloadservice. It'll even be available for download for free registered and unregistered visitors. At release the demo will also be ready for download at the official site of the game.

No exclusive then, as such rumours were spread around earlier this week. This means you'll probably gonna find a local downloadlink on the Fraglandservers soon after the release.

They do mention the demo as an opportunity to check out their own online gaming service, called GameCenter, which seems to be a direct competitor with IGN/Gamespy's Gamespy Arcade matchmaking program.

For those who don't yet know the exact content of the BF2 demo, check below:

The demo will feature three variations of the Gulf of Oman map from Battlefield 2, which is set in a near-future conflict between three clashing powers: The United States, China, and the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition (MEC). The single-player, 16-player, and 32-player versions of the map included in the demo will pit the US against the MEC in time-limit-based combat. (China is not playable in the demo.)

An exact release time isn't set also (except for the official "very soon") but most people expect it to be released today though.

Man, I have been waiting for this game to come out, since I heard of it and now that it was at E3 and the awsome footage that have been release I am even more excited about it!!
