No Online Play for Def Jam 2
IGN is reporting that Def Jam: Fight for New York will not have online play despite the feature having been announced previously
Following PSM Magazine's cover-grabbing in-depth preview of Def Jam: Fight for NY a few months back, its inclusion of online play has been one of the game's most talked about special features. But after discussing the product with EA representatives earlier this morning, it was revealed to us here at IGN that Fight for NY no longer supports online play.
No official reason for the exclusion was made, but EA did confirm that the removal is an across the board prohibition for both the Xbox and PlayStation 2 versions with the possibility of no support for downloadable goodies, Xbox Live awareness, or score rankings either. Bummer.
