It seems Microsoft has found a way to make sure we won't be seeing the successor to the Red Ring of Death, the Red Dot of Death any time soon.
A user over at NeoGAF posted a picture of the new Xbox360 Slim, showing that whenever the console overheats, it just shuts down before permanent damage is done.
Once the power light stops flashing, you can turn the console on again and continue having fun with it.
Although this still isn't perfect, it's better than having to replace your hardware every so often if you ask me.
