November NPD: Modern Warfare 2 on top
The NPD sales figures for November have been released and it should come as no surprise that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is completely in domination mode.
The software sales chart sees the top two spots being taken by Infinity Ward's shooter, with the X360 version coming in first with no less than 4.2 million sales and the PS3 version taking second spot with 1.9 million sales. Third place was for Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros which managed to go over the counter 1.4 million times.
Talking about happy, Nintendo also has a reason to have a smile on their face as also the DS skyrocketed again with 1.7 million units sold which is an increase of a whopping 262%!
However, their happy face won't stay on for long as the decline in sales for the Wii over the past year continues with 1.26 million units sold in November (2.04 million same month last year) and if this trend continues the console might soon see the X360 and PS3 surpass it again.
Year-on-Year the PS3 has done the best job with 710k units sold, compared to last year's 378K.
