Oblivion moved to next year

The precise and final list of games available at the Xbox360 launch (which is this month in the USA and next month in the rest of the world), is still unknown. What ís known, is that the spectacular looking The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will not be available at launch!

In a conference call with analysts today, Take-Two Interactive announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is being delayed until the second quarter of its next fiscal year, which runs from February to April 2006. While this is still technically within Microsoft's 14-week "launch window" for the Xbox 360, it means that the game will not be on sale when the console arrives in stores on November 22.

This doesn't count for the PC-version though. The reason of the delay is the fact that Bethesda Softworks needs a lottle more time to get rid of the latest bugs. That's probably a good decision since the Elder Scrolls games are not known for being bugfree!

Slightly delayed bug free game > buggy launch game.
