Open beta for Test Drive Unlimited 2 confirmed and more
Test Drive Unlimited 2 director, Alain Jarniou, has confirmed that their free-roaming racer will get an open beta which will start still this year.
The developer couldn't yet announce which platforms will be used in the beta due to ongoing testing and further development, but the beta would give players the possibility to experience the game before it sees the light of day in the coming Fall period.
A second trailer for the game has also be released and you can check it out below:

“Right now, the plan is to have an open beta of TDU2,”
“The difficulty of having a demo for a game like this is the fact it’s a huge island, and a huge amount of data. It’s not the best way to show the game. So yeah, for now the plan’s an open beta.”
Meanwhile, Namco-Bandai has made revealed some more about the game. The upcoming DLC will be heavily influenced by the feedback from the players, the island of Hawaii which was part of the original game will be returning along with the new island of Ibiza and as the first trailer suggest, players will be able to leave their cars and walk around freely in the game to interact with other players.“The difficulty of having a demo for a game like this is the fact it’s a huge island, and a huge amount of data.
