The PC specs aren't high at all. And 30 seconds loading time for indoors? No way, I got no more than 10. 30 secs is what I got loading some of the outdoors. And for gameplay, I would definitely give this game a 9.5. The other three ratings seem fine to me.

I guess the one disappointment (besides loading times and annoying cliff hangers that I hope will be resolved in an expansion or sequel), was the fact that the choices I made regarding my girlfriend (Shani or Triss) had no reflection whatsoever on the end of the game, except who helps you near the end, but its pretty insignificant.

I run a P4 2.8GHz with 1 Gig of RAM and a Geforce 6800 GS. My computer is quite old, and I run this game with settings on medium (and a few on high) and it runs perfectly fine. Loading times are a bit long, but I wouldn't say it is a computer hog at all besides the loading times.

Well, I run this game on Vista, perhaps this can be the cause of the memory consumption and longer loading times.

I guess it's a matter of perspective and multiple factors. I effectively had to wait way to long navigate between areas (I even timed this multiple times, and yes I had everything set to high, but that still doesn't justify having to wait 30 seconds).

Oh I agree, the loading times are rimeniscent of Fable. They are planning on patching the game to reduce said loading times, but they are a factor in the game as it currently stands.

That being said, the loading times really only frustrated me when I kept getting kicked out of Shani's house by the old woman. Having to reload the city just to go back in the door and try again was bugging me to no end.

It is an issue when compared to games like Oblivion which have almost unnoticeable load times. But yeah, memory issues are a non-issue in XP and my 3-year-old rig runs the game just fine. Hopefully they can better optimize it under Vista in future updates.

I certainly hope so!

Playing the witcher in Vista comes at the risk of a cold crash to desktop because of a nice little memory leak (I only experienced this when playing everything at high detail). This should have been solved with a MS Hotfix, but no such luck. The problem remains.

None the less, this is one bloody good game!
