Future Publishing, the people behind magazines like PC Gamer, PC Format and a whole slew of other magazines have acquired PC Zone and Computer&Videogames. From the official press release:
The Future Network plc today announces that its UK subsidiary Future Publishing has acquired the title and goodwill of two UK games magazines - PC Zone and CVG - from the Dennis Publishing group for a consideration of £2.5m in cash. The acquisition also includes the related website computerandvideogames.com.
...
PC Zone is the UK's longest-running PC games magazine, having been launched in April 1993. It sold a monthly average of 41,073 copies during the six months to 30 June 2004 (source: ABC). The title will be published from Future's London games group by Publisher James Ashton.

CVG magazine experienced a 40% reduction in year-on-year circulation and for this reason, Future anticipates suspending the publication in its current form.
The print magazine sector has lost again some competition it seems and opinions are likely to become a monopoly ???
