PS3 and X360 will get new price cuts still this year? Or not?
MCV is reporting that a "senior publishing source" has told them that we can expect to see further price cuts for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation3 still this year.
Microsoft wouldn't be actually cutting down the price but instead will include Natal for the current price.
When asked for comment, both Sony and Nintendo laughed and stated this is pure speculation and rumour.
MCV has been told by a senior global publishing source that price cuts for the Xbox 360 and PS3 will be announced by the end of the year, and possibly as early as next month’s E3.
In addition, it is believed that there’s a strong possibility that Nintendo is also considering a price cut to stave off the increased opposition expected from Microsoft’s Natal and Sony’s PlayStation Move this Q4.
Sony Entertainment is apparently expected to reveal and entry-level system which will go on sale in the UK for around £200 which supposedly would get the console with 40 or 60GB harddisk and one controller.In addition, it is believed that there’s a strong possibility that Nintendo is also considering a price cut to stave off the increased opposition expected from Microsoft’s Natal and Sony’s PlayStation Move this Q4.
