PS3 online demand declining

Posted on Tuesday, 5 December 2006 by Speed, source: Compete
Online blog Compete have checked out how the online demand for all next-gen consoles is going and it seems that Amazon's $100 dollar Xbox360 offer has done quite a good thing for Microsoft's console.

Online demand for the PS3 saw its top on the week of November 18th and has been dropping since then to already 15% less. The Xbox360 even managed to have a higher demand while the Wii has the highest.

  • The 360, despite being a year older, has been exhibiting similar demand patterns as the Wii, which launched on the 19th.
  • During the week of the 25th, demand for both the Xbox 360 and Wii surpassed demand for the PS3.
  • One week after launch, online demand for the PS3 dropped nearly 15%

  • I guess having little supply isn't always the best thing...
