Slim sales skyrocket!

According to Chart-Track, Sony's Playstation 3 has an increase in sales of almost 1000% over the last week in the UK!

Good news for Sony, especially seeing that the console outsold the DS, Wii and Xbox 360 by a ratio of 3 to 1.

"I think what I've heard anecdotally is that this is the point people were waiting for - a redesigned model and, in Euros, a significant price reduction," said Andrew House, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. "That's people's cue to jump into the business."

The news is all the more impressive seeing that the week before the X360 increased sales by 43%, due to the Elite dropping in price, and is still climbing in sales with an increase of 29% compared to last week's growth.
