PS3 video on demand in November
Also at Gamescom in Germany, Sony announced during their press conference that the Playstation3 Video on Demand service will be released in Great-Britain, France, Germany and Spain in November.
Other regions will have to wait until 2010. Sony already has contracts with Lionsgate, Paramount, MGM, Walt Disney, Fox, Universel, Universumn, Warner Bros and Constantin. Some movies that should be available have also been named including Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Terminator and Batman.
This services is supposed to make it possible to rent or buy movies online. Watching a movie should start quickly after the download has started. I only hope it won't be like Youtube movies that halfway halt because the download hasn't finished yet...
