PS4 and Xbox 3 in 2012, says Crytek
During the developer conference of the Games Convention in Leipzig, Crytek's boss Cevat Yerli said he expects the next PlayStation and Xbox somewhere in 2011 or 2012.
Besides that, he said they're planning a new version of their CryEngine in 2012. By then, he expects resolutions of 1080p and with 60 frames will be used. Yerli also thinks cpu's and gpu's will grow closer the upcoming years, and will share more tasks.
"The PlayStation 4 and Xbox '720' will arrive in 2011 or 2012, we think," said Yerli during the Games Convention Developer Conference in Leipzig, watched by GamesIndustry.biz.

"But we think in three to four years' time, although there are good reasons why it should be 2010 already...but we'll see," he added.
