PSN Prepaid cards on October 1st

As of October 1st, a credit card is no longer a requirement for the Playstation Store. From that day on you will be able to buy Prepaid PlayStation Network cards in all PAL-areas.

The cards contain a code, which you can exchange in the store for a specific amount of online currency. You'll be able to buy cards for €20 and €50. Through this method, Sony wishes to promote the online shopping, especially with their upcoming PSPgo.

You will also be able to give ingame currency as a gift to friends or familymembers through these cards.
