PSP not getting price reduction

Lately there have been rumours flying around that Sony would be dropping the price of their PSP due to the fact that it's loosing momentum and the holiday season is not so far away anymore.
Today, Gamesindustry.biz got word from Sony that they have absolutely no plans for a price drop on their handheld.
With the release of the PS3 imminent, a price drop of the PS2 would seem more likely if you ask me
